EBC Trek Packing List

November 17, 2016

One of the main things I’ve been asked about my trek to base camp is what I packed. It was one of my main issues when I was preparing for my trek as I had absolutely no idea what or how to pack for a trek of this scale. My trip was 16 days in total and below I have put together a list of what I packed and more importantly what I used. I found that I took waaay too much stuff so I’ve cut the list down to what I actually needed. Obviously this list is based on my experience of trekking in October in mild conditions. You should check with your trekking company for a comprehensive kit list specific to the time of year you have booked to go. I.e. you won’t need shorts in the depth of winter.

Most of the trekkers I encountered on my way to base camp had the majority of their kit packed into the trekking companies branded holdalls for the porters to carry between tea houses and the trekkers themselves carried a 30lt day pack with their essentials and water.
